SRL is the most accomplished acoustic consultancy in the UK. We have been in the practice for over 40 Years. During this time we have been involved in many major developments in the UK and worldwide. We bring the experience from these projects to all of our work.
Our capabilities are broad, ranging from planning, performance prediction, design, inspection, troubleshooting, measurement and commissioning. Indeed anything where noise and vibration is an issue. More latterly we have increased our capabilities to air tightness, BREEAM assessments and Fire Testing.
We work for a wide range of clients throughout all branches of industry: architectural; construction; building services; planning; industrial; environmental; and transport. We are not tied to any other company and therefore give independent advice.
We have offices in London Manchester, Suffolk and Dubai. These enable us to service our clients efficiently. At our headquarters in Suffolk we also have an acoustic and airflow test laboratory where we support our own and our clients projects. Most of our test work is done under the accreditation of a UKAS quality assurance system.
With nearly 50 staff we can cope with the largest projects and work to our clients often tight timescales. 85% of our work is repeat business, which shows the close relationships and reputation we develop with our clients.
Our ‘tools of the trade’ include the latest measurement equipment and computer modelling programs. Not only can we graphically represent noise, such as with noise mapping, but we can also reproduce it so that clients can hear what it will sound like once the building is finished. We are also committed to writing in jargon free, plain English. These have proved to be a great help to those not familiar with acoustics.
