Laboratory Testing, Measurement and 'Notified Body'

Sound Research Laboratories (SRL) has a dedicated Technical Services division, comprising a team of engineers capable of doing all noise and vibration measurements.  They are fully trained in a wide range of noise and vibration measurements techniques to BS / ISO standards and SRL's own UKAS accredited best practice procedures.  The aim of Technical Services is to obtain high quality test data that is both relevant and appropriate to meet the client's needs.

Testing is a key part of the service we offer. We have a Laboratory at our Headquarters where we test all kinds of constructions and equipment for its noise performance. We are accredited under the UKAS quality system which means our work is recognised throughout the European Union and World-wide. A test certificate from us is a valuable endorsement to any product.

We also have an airflow capability which enables us to test ventilation and air conditioning equipment under realistic conditions. Not everything can be laboratory tested so we maintain the equipment and capability to make measurements on site. Our test team travels around the world measuring noise and vibration for input to our design consultancy or as validation for certifying authorities.
